Antique Bottle Rack for empty soda bottles, manufactured in the late 1940's through the 1950's, and intended for mounting on the side of soda machines such as Coca Cola, Pepsi, Seven up, Dr. Pepper, and other old soda vending machines. It does not bear any markings. Coca Cola, Pepsi, and other soda companies mounted them on the sides of their machines to collect empty bottles and minimize breakage. This rack holds 40 bottles (4 x 10) and fits perfectly on the side of any midsize to larger capacity soda vending machines such as the Coke Model 81 shown in the pictures. It has 4 mounting sites, one in each corner. The rack measures 36" long, 12" wide, and 5 deep. It is quite sturdy and rigid, with no rust and no defects. I have owned it for more than 40 years, and I believe it dates from the late 1940's or 1950's.
It came off the machine shown in the photos, but now with rearranging the machine's location into a corner, the rack no longer works for me. The vending machine is not included.
