Coca-Cola Renewable Equipped Vending (REV) Machines

In 2011, Coca-Cola embarked on a journey to determine the feasibility of a "Solar Powered Vender" for the marketplace. Until 2011, any "solar powered vending machines" were gimmicks, with the solar panel typically only able to provide power for minor loads within the machine, such as lighting. The ambitious goal was to create a machine that could operate exclusively from renewable solar power, using lithium batteries and a specialized operation/refrigeration system to run the machine uninterrupted, regardless of the environmental conditions. Until the REV, all Coca-Cola Vending Machines were emblazoned with their signature red with white lettering. The REV Machines would be (and still are) the ONLY officially-sanctioned machine that was constructed in white with red lettering.

Custom non-glass solar panels that include the Coca-Cola logo in the laminations were commissioned and built for the machines. "Renewable Equipped Vending", or "REV Machines" were conceived, and between 2011 and 2014, they were engineered in a collaborative effort between Solar Stik and Royal Vendors.

Coca-Cola officially commissioned 8 of the new REV Machines with the intent to field them at several theme parks in Orlando, Florida. These experimental designs were a huge success during the two-year pilot program where they were deployed. They garnered a lot of attention on social media, and they became well-known features at their various locations... With an actual fan base.

The project was to move forward into production in 2017, but Coca-Cola reorganized their operations and the project was sidelined, and eventually discontinued. There is ONE machine in the basement at Coca-Cola headquarters in Atlanta, GA, and will probably be a fixture in their historical archive. The remaining machines are now at Solar Stik facilities in St.

For the serious collector, these are rare and a milestone in the evolution of Coca-Cola's vending machine design and integration. They have some "character marks" from their time in the field, but are operational. The price shown is for ONE machine. The Machines can be seen in person at our warehouse in St.
