Coca Cola Westinghouse WC-42T soda dispenser machine Coke Machine. Westinghouse soda machines were most popular during the 1930's until the 1950's.
The company primarily made large, chest type machines. This upright machine is more rare than their other designs, and wasn't very common in the 50s when it was made, making it a hard-to-find piece now. This particular model is one of the few that have embossed letters of "Here's a Coke for you" on the sides of the machine. The coin mechanism is working on this machine and when last used, it was still cooling. This machine has a capacity of 42 8oz. This machine has dimensions of 53.5" x 25" x 20. Ive had this machine for 5 years and we used it up to 2 years ago or so.
The wiring is so old it started blowing the fuse in my house when I plugged it in. I looked at the wiring and the wiring is very very brittle. With the machine being moved around it frayed the wire on the inside and the wire started touching metal blowing the fuse.
The plug wire will need to be changed. After looking at all the iring, its old and should probably be replaced. This is more than I can do. It's a clichè but it was working and cooling properly before this issue.
I can send videos of the wiring if you need more details.. If you have any further questions regarding this item, please feel free to ask. The prior restoration was done by someone else and there are a few imperfections but it is a great display piece.
